Walking and cycling

With the Cotswold Way passing through the very centre of Wotton-Under-Edge, the town is an incredibly popular destination for walkers throughout the year. The row of landmark Jubilee Pines marks the short climb to Wotton Hill, where you can enjoy spectacular views into Wales and across the Severn. The path through Westridge Woods will lead you the Tynedale Monument, where the hilltop tower commemorates William Tyundale, a martyred 16th century Bible translator.

The Wotton-Under-Edge Heritage Centre provides a wealth of information if you’re planning to visit the town and offers a number of interesting displays in its museum. Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10:30am-12:30pm and 2pm-4pm, Saturdays from 10am-1pm and Sundays from 2:30pm-5pm from April to October, you’ll be able to find all the information about Wotton-Under-Edge and the surrounding activities and attractions here.


Food & Drink

Wotton-Under-Edge has a great range of restaurants, pubs, cafes and takeaways, perfect if you want a night away from the kitchen during your stay. Whether you’re in the mood for steak, fish and chips, Chinese, Indian or Pizza, there are plenty of options for you to choose from in the town.
